Cystic Acne

Potentially scarring form of acne, plug of dead skin / sebum, and p.acnes bacteria lodges in a pore creating a pus filled bum that can rupture the pore wall

Eczema
ˈɛksɪmə
Chnonic, non contagious, atopic dermatitis. Red itchy scaly patches of skin, with varying triggers such as fragrances, harsh soaps, foods etc. to trigger an allergic response.

Hyperpigmentation
ˈhaɪpə ˌpɪgmənˈteɪʃən
Darkening of the skin, via a tan, melasma, or isolated scar. Usually triggered by UV light to a wound, illness, hormonal changes, certain drugs.

Keratosis pilaris

Red bumps on legs and back of arms due to blocked pores filled with dead skin

Melasma

Darkening of the skin. Can be triggered by hormonal changes UV rays and heat.
Melanoma

Skin cancer that develops in pigment producing cells. The cure rate is high if caught early but when unchecked cases spread into internal organs, it gains it's reputation as it the deadliest of skin cancers. UV light in the form of tanning and sunbeds is the most preventable cause.

Rosacea

Chronic skin disease with persistent redness, flushing, broken blood vessels, and pimples. It appears to be hereditary and run in families, but there is no clear genetic link, with an unknown cause or cure. Affecting primarily people in the 30-50 year age group most, and with fair skin. Triggers include heat, uv, spicy foods, alcohol.
